Do I Have To Invest Money Every Month To Cover The Commercial Premiums I Finance?

No. Generally the only capital investment made is when you form your premium finance company.

  • Generally the only capital investment made is when you form your premium finance company. Other than the very nominal start-up costs paid to AIS to get the premium finance company licensed, any capital invested becomes “working capital” that is used to make premium finance loans.
  • AIS will work with you in the start-up to be sure your finance company is properly capitalized and structured to meet the minimum state requirements of your home state

    • The minimum investment you will be required to make is $25,000.00
    • In some states, however, there is a statutory capital required that is higher than the AIS minimum. For example:

      • California has a $75,000.00 minimum capital requirement
      • Pennsylvania has a $50,000.00 minimum capital requirement
      • New York has a net worth requirement that is 10% of the outstanding loans
